MOVIE CHECKOUT

Northern Virginia Intergroup (NVI) is pleased to announce a Movie Checkout Service available to program members in the Northern Virginia Intergroup area. This service will provide members the opportunity to check out Conference Approved and other sobriety- and recovery-related movies at no cost for 12th Step work, as well as their viewing pleasure.

• The Movie Check Out will provide assistance to districts, groups, or individuals who are conducting educational events, movie nights and other sober activities.

• The Movie Check Out also will provide program members who are participating in outreach efforts, such as CPC and Treatment Center Representatives, yet another tool to aid them in their efforts to extend the hand of the Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship.

Members may recommend commercial recovery-related films, by title, to Northern Virginia Intergroup through their group Intergroup Representatives (IGRs) and District Intergroup Representatives (DIRs) for possible inclusion in the NVI Movie Check Out service collection. Donations of movies in various formats (VHS, DVD, etc) that have been selected for inclusion in the NVI collection will be accepted and appreciated.
